My friesian beauty, Moonlit Elegance. Forgive me for bragging, but this is by far one of my best pictures EVER. Allow me to rephrase that. It is THE best. Plus, it’s my favorite breed! Moonlit Elegance is one of my friesian mares from VHR. Want to know something funny? When I drew the picture, I never intended for it to be a friesian. I never even intended for the horse to be a natural color. The reference I was one of a Kentucky Mountain Horse. When I completed the drawing, I realized the horse looked every bit like the friesian and very little like the reference horse. So I decided to color it black instead of some wild unnatural color, and viola! My beautiful friesian picture!!!

Thanks! You should've seen my first attempt at the picture. The horse completely looked like crap! I had to start over on a clean sheet of paper, otherwise, there would've been way too much chicken scratch behind the finished picture. And yes, I was getting bored with the usual angles

I love this, the fresian is also my very favorite breed, I'm working on a piece now with a fresian as a unicorn.
Very well drawn you have captured the spirit well.

Dang!!! Six feet? Sometimes I can barely handle my own 8X10 sketch book paper. I'll just keep checking in until you finish it, then. I can't wait to see it!

I think it's the coloring that really makes this picture (besides the amazing horse anatomy that I have long ago given up on). It really makes every muscle and shine stand out.
